Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!
I grew up in Grosse Ile, Michigan and graduated from Grosse Ile High School in 2000. I received both my Bachelor's degree (in Art Education) and Master's degree (in Library and Information Science) from Wayne State University.

This is my very first year with Livonia Public Schools. For the past nine years I taught at Grosse Ile Schools as the K-12 media specialist. Most of my time at GI Schools was spent at the elementary schools working with K-5 students, but for a year an a half I also worked with middle and high school students as well. Since 2010 I've also worked part time at Henry Ford College as an adjunct reference librarian in the Eshleman Library.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Every year my sister and I head out for a big "sister adventure" too. We've hiked and camped in different National Parks, like Yosemite, Redwoods, and Isle Royale, and we've biked around and kayaked off the Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island too.

When not off on a "sister adventure," I load my dog, Drake into the car for some less adventurous adventures. Drake is always up for running around like a wild dog outside and loves going hiking and camping with me. Apart from Drakey, I also have more cats than any one person needs (Pippy, Carson, Vinnie, and Willie), and have chickens too.

I look forward to a year filled with exciting new learning opportunities for your children! Please feel free to contact me anytime if you ever have any questions, concerns, or suggestions!
