ALL ABOUT ME

Dear Parents,

My name is Nicole McGlinch and I will be your child’s sixth grade teacher for this school year.  I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach your child.  I am looking forward to a year of building knowledge in a structured, as well as fun, atmosphere.

As an educator, I strongly believe that all children can learn.  It is my goal to take children from where they are and provide them with a learning environment that will enable them to grow academically, emotionally, and socially to their highest potential.  I look forward to sharing many learning and growing experiences with both you and your child throughout the upcoming year and feel honored that I get to partner with you during this exciting time in your child’s life!

I would like to tell you a little about my background.  I graduated from Madonna University in 2005, with a science major and I received my Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Madonna University.

My husband and I have been married for ten years, but have known each other since 8th grade!  We have a beautiful little girl, Vivian Anne.  She is the love of our lives.  With my free time, I enjoy boating, skiing, mountain biking, reading a good book on the beach, going up north to our cottage, and of course, spending time with my family.

Sixth grade is a fun year.  We learn so many exciting things!  I know you will really enjoy learning this year.  We will learn all about the United States in social studies.  Plants, electricity, and simple machines are a few topics we will explore in science.  We will continue practicing to become better readers, writers, and mathematicians, as well as working with other sixth grade classes and going to CAMP!

We are going to have a GREAT school year!
