Classroom News

The school will provide the basic supplies needed in our classroom (paper, pencils, crayons). However, it would be helpful if you could send in the following items with your child.  Please label all items!

  • Extra number 2 pencils (We do not write in ink)
  • Red pens for correcting/editing work
  • Two glue sticks (these run out very quickly, so be prepared to replace them!)
  • A small set of non-permanent markers/colored pencils
  • Three spiral notebooks, (8 1/2 by 11")~one each for math, social studies and a poetry anthology
  • A small pencil box
  • Pocket folders to use for classroom work and one that will be used as a "homework folder" that will go to and from school every day.
  • Several pads/colors of Post Its for Reading Workshop
  • Three colored highlighters
  • 1 1/2 inch or 1 inch three-ring binder for a Leadership Notebook

I would also greatly appreciate any classroom supplies you can donate. These are items that would be used by all the students in our class as needed.

  • Box of tissues
  • Gallon  and quart-sized ZipLoc type bags
  • Bag of wrapped candy for the classroom jar (no chocolate or nuts, please)
  • Copier paper, white and colors
  • Paper towel
  • Glue sticks

Please note that we cannot have large sets of crayons or markers. Our textbooks take up a lot of room in the desks and leave little room for other things. No electric devices like pencil sharpeners are allowed. I will provide calculators so we are all working with the same kind.

Also, if you want to donate anything from the first list so we have extras, I won't say no!

Note-Students are allowed a water bottle and a nutritious snack. We have a student with peanut allergies, so NO PEANUTS of any kind will be allowed in the classroom. Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

Thanks so much for any donations you may send. See you soon!
